Doodle 4 Google is a nationwide drawing contest in the United States. For 10 years, kids have submitted drawings for themes such as last year’s “What inspires me…” The 2018 lucky winner was Sarah Gomez-Lane, a 2nd grader from Falls Church, VA, whose doodle of dinosaurs is inspired by her dream of becoming a paleontologist.
Sarah was able to work with Google’s Doodles Team to create an animated / interactive version of her work. She also won a $30,000 college scholarship, and her elementary school was award $50,000 to spend on technology.
The judges were Jimmy Fallon, from the Tonight Show, and Kermit the Frog.
